Migration and Social Belonging
Challenge and audience
Relocation may disrupt language, social networks and everyday knowledge at once. We recognise migrants through their abilities and experience. Support should reduce access barriers while enabling contribution to the host community.
Social isolation of newcomers, civic literacy barriers, and language navigation.
The Foundation’s independent role
Possible foundation role: civic orientation workshops, conversational language clubs, and multilingual informational guides.
Civic guidance and cultural exchange within the Foundation's remit.
An illustrative route
An illustrative guide for newcomers could explain language learning, transport and public services in accessible terms. The Foundation designs information and an orientation workshop; the competent body decides residence or specialist services. Outputs are an updated guide and responsible referral, without a promise of an administrative outcome.
Civic orientation, conversational language circles and multilingual guides.

Joint Delivery, Support & Capacity, Referral
Where a route involves specialist legal advice or formal referral, we identify qualified advisers and an agreed referral process. Language and cultural activities are assessed under their own conditions.
